June is a busy month for the Bismarck Governors and most of their time will be occupied on the road. Just three home games are on the schedule for the rest of this month, including tonight, weather permitting, against Mandan. The Governors got their season off to a good start last night, splitting two match-ups in Minot. Their win came in game 1 with a come from behind 9-4 victory. The Chiefs come into tonight's game on a two game skid, but in the tough West Division, the Governors know that each ballgame will be a battle. (Mike Skytland:) The West is going to be tough this year. There is not going to be many easy games. Williston has a couple of college kids back that were really good last year and Dickinson just won the State and Minot's always right up, maybe the favorite going in and I think everyone is going to be competitive so yeah, we think it is going to be competitive everyday that we go out in the West Region. Its not just The River Rivalry tonight, but its also Minnesota Twins Promotional Night. The game is scheduled to go nine innings with the first pitch set for 7:30 central time, again, weather permitting. We hope to have highlights at 10:00 central.  « Less
