There's a new business coming to the Oak Park area on 4th Avenue NW. Remodeling is being done for a pool hall and recreation center which will open May 8th. Called J and S Shooters, and named for the owner and manager, there well be 20 pool tables and several dart machines, and even a full scale restaurant. Manager Clarence Schlieman says there will be two separate areas in the 16,000 square foot building, one for kids and another for adults where liquor will be served. J and S shooters will be non-smoking, and they have plans to host leagues and tournaments. To the west of Up the Creek and Space Aliens or east of 16th Street and north of 31st Avenue is an an empty lot right now, but there are plans in the works to develop this area. The company, IRET which stands for Investors Real Estate Trust, will build offices here, plus they will have space available to lease out to other businesses. Senior Vice President Tom Wentz Jr. says they plan a modern, nice looking building that will enhance this part of town. The store That's It Collectibles and E-bay Station has moved. Owner Craig Ness had his store downtown for 7 months, but now has is located at 106 4th Ave NW in the former Picket Fence. He has antiques and will help people sell items on E-bay. The offices at 4th Ave. NW for Remax Signature Properties will open real soon. Jeremy Boyce has opened the Minot real estate office. Remax International has thousands of offices in 65 countries. It's an exciting time for the YMCA. Bids will be opened tomorrow for their planned 37,000 square foot addition to add a second gym, a climbing wall, plus an indoor playground, more exercise area and locker room space. The former Williston Honda and Chrysler Center is now Ryan Motors. This is the 4th auto dealership owned by Kathy and Mike Gaddie of Minot. The family dealerships started in 1973, with Jim Ryan.
