Children at Grove Patterson Academy stuck pinwheels into the ground Monday to promore International Peace Day, which falls on Sept. 21. Though the event usually takes place every other year, pinwheels for peace were planted this year due to the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. School leaders thought it would be fitting to have it closer to the anniversary.
