The Navy Bistro, many considered an anchor of the east side waterfront complex along the Maumee River, has closed its doors after 15 years of operation. Thursday was the last day of operation for the restaurant. Mayor Michael Bell's spokeswoman Jen Sorgenfrei told FOX Toledo News that The Navy Bistro was ceasing operations by Friday. She said several months of back rent, about $99,000, were owned on properties. The Cousino family were the ones who notified the city of the closure.  « Less
