March 16 (Bloomberg) -- Former Richmond Federal Reserve Bank President J. Alfred Broaddus and Jeremy Siegel, a finance professor at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, talk with Bloomberg's Julie Hyman and Mark Crumpton about today's Federal Open Market Committee statement and the outlook for monetary policy. Fed officials retained their pledge to keep the main interest rate near zero for an "extended period" and confirmed that $1.25 trillion in purchases of mortgage-backed securities will end this month.
