March 11 (Bloomberg) -- John Paul Rathbone of the Financial Times' Lex commentary team talks with Bloomberg's Erik Schatzker about BP Plc's $7 billion purchase of Devon Energy Corp. assets in Brazil, the Gulf of Mexico and Azerbaijan to add fields that may extend its production lead over Exxon Mobil Corp.
