Bringing college basketball to Springfield may also bring an economic bounce to the region. For the fourth year, Springfield will play host to the NCAA Division 2 Men's Championship Basketball Tournament. The "Elite Eight" college teams travel to Springfield to compete for the national title. Organizers say they expect attendees to spend up to 1-point-5 million dollars at local businesses. « Less
