If you're looking to buy some land in Toledo, the city has some property for sale. Councilman Mike Ashford said the city has nearly 1,000 parcels available and the parcels are pretty cheap. It's all part of the landbanking program which will help increase property value and generate property tax revenue. Councilman Ashford said the previous Finkbeiner administration wouldn't sell the land to anyone but now the city is selling the property to help with the deficit. "There's a series of things you can do with an empty parcel," he said. "Most of the lands are very affordable. They no more than $150 per parcel."
