convicted drunk drivers pay for a required ignition interlock is out of money. 9 thousand drivers had ignition interlocks in their vehicles last year -- that's way up from 2004 when only 15-hundred drivers had ignition interlocks. more mandated interlocks are partly to blame -- but abuse of the fund is also a problem. a "got questions, get answers" report found cases of drivers using the fund to get interlocks installed in luxury vehicles. a bill working through the state house would require convicted minute thumbnail 06:15 pm drunk drivers to prove they need financial assistance in paying for ignition interlocks./ « Less
