The 4th ranked and undefeated Berthold Bombers boys Basketball team will be at home tomorrow night when the team hosts 8th rated Bishop Ryan in a district 12 matchup. Both teams are undefeated in district play and the winner will have the inside track to the district title. The Bombers will try to make the most of their size advantage and expect one of their toughest battles of the season. Brock Teets, Berthold boys basketball coach:You know anytime, Ryan's become kind of a rivalry game for us the last few years with Berthold. We've had some real good games. We're looking forward to it. It'll be a great challenge for us, Ryan's an excellent team. They got some really good players and I think we need to step up to the challenge. We'll try to take advantage of some things inside maybe, you know Matt being 6'3 and playing the guard is a tough matchup but you know they've got some matchups I'm sure they like too with Levi Freidt and the Magnuson kid is one of the best shooters in the state. So I think both ways there's some mismatches and some matchup issues with both teams but we'll just see how it plays out Thursday. Bloms, senior:We need to try and push the ball and I think our main thing is defense and communication. Coach is really stressing communication these last couple of weeks and that's crucial in big games like this when it's hard to hear. Dan Yale, sophomore:Yeah it'll be a pretty good game, hopefully we'll look to push the ball a little bit hopefully we'll have good defense, not a lot of turnovers will be a big key in the game and hopefully we can keep with them the whole time.
