Former Pittsburgh Steeler running back great Rocky Bleier spoke about lessons he's learned in life. He was the keynote speaker at the Toledo Chamber of Commerce annual meeting at Gladieux Meadows on Wednesday. Bleier was drafted Army to go to Vietnam during his first season on the team. He was seriously wounded and was barely able to walk, but eventually came back from his injuries. Bleier, part of four Steelers Super Bowl winning teams in the 1970s, said football is a lot like life. "Football is like hope," he said. "God I hope we can win, I hope we can turn it around. I hope we get the right players. I hope we get the right coach, I hope our team wins the Super Bowl or whatever it might be and so hope becomes an essential part of what we do in our lives and becomes a basic in which we build foundations on."  « Less
