A 14-year-old Maumee High School student was stabbed in the leg with a pocket knife during the noon hour after an alleged fight with another 14-year-old student, officials with Maumee City Schools said. The alleged altercation unfolded at around 12:30 p.m. in the boys lockeroom near the gymnasium. An aurgument escalated. One of the students pulled out a small pocket knife and cut the other on the leg near the knee. Maumee police said the injury the student sustained was "minor." The student suffered a minor cut of around a half-inch, police said. The high school as well as other schools in the district were put on lock-down as a precaution because the alleged assailiant left the high school. Schools were locked-down until around 2:30 p.m. and the students were dismissed. Detectives said the alleged teen assailant was apprehended after the teen was found hiding at his father's house. School district administrators said they have a zero tolerance police and that the alleged assailant faces possible expulsion. Charges are pending. The case remains under investigation.  « Less
