Celebrations are underway around North Dakota all this month honoring the self-less act of adoption. Tonight at PATH services in Minot, an open house and balloon release is being held in conjunction with AASK program - Adults adoption Special Kids. The event is highlighting those who have adopted children in our area and is opening up doors to find forever families for children waiting in foster care. Heather Kippen, the AASK Supervisor for western North Dakota, says there are about 20 children in our area still waiting for families and permanent place to call home. (Heather Kippen / AASK Supervisor) "If you're interested in adopting a child that's looking for that forever family definitely give us a call. We'll talk with you about what the program is all about and how it works. We are always looking for families that really have room in their heart for one more child."
