Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- William O’Donnell, U.S. government bond strategist at RBS Securities Inc., talks with Bloomberg's Julie Hyman about the U.S. Treasury's record $42 billion sale of five-year debt. The bid-to-cover ratio, which gauges demand by comparing total bids with the amount of securities offered, was 2.81, the highest since September 2007.
