After nearly a month of non-stop delays in October, construction crews around the region are catching up on work thanks to a warmer than average November. By this time last year several feet of snow had already fallen and temperatures had plummeted below zero which either shut down or slowed up work through the area. Joel Feist with Real Builders in Minot says, with the building boom in the Magic City, each day that stays warm and snow free only helps crews keep pushing forward and helps keeps projects on schedule. (Joel Feist, Real Builders Minot) "A lot of the contractors are getting their foundations up out of the ground which is the key, this time of year if you can get your foundations in you're pretty well good to go. The framing and the rest of the work can be done through the winter months so it's just been a real blessing. There are numerous commercial and residential construction projects on going in Minot right now along with some road construction projects that are wrapping up around the city.  « Less
