Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Robert Eisenbeis, chief monetary economist at Cumberland Advisors Inc. and a former research director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, talks with Bloomberg's Betty Liu about the 11 percent decline in October U.S. housing starts. Starts plunged to an annual rate of 529,000, the lowest level since April, as sales outlook darkened with the looming expiration of a government tax credit and mounting joblessness.
