heartbreak for two new mexico families tonight. authorities positively identified two more of the women found buried on the west mesa. they are evelyn salazar and virginia cloven. both fit the profile of most of the other identified victims with a criminal history includg prostitution. joe vigil spoke with cloven's father tonight who says he hoped this day would never come. he's live on the west mesa. in a just a couple of days there will be one more memorial up here at the west mesa grave site. a place virginia minute thumbnail 10:05 pm cloven's parents prayed their little girl would never turn up. after virginia cloven disappeared in 2004 her mom and dad never moved from their home in belen. "we didn't want to move in case she came looking for us and we didn't want to miss her." and they never changed their home phone number. "we kept the same phone number because we thought virginia would call." robert cloven calls his little girl a loving and kind person saying he was very close to her. but when his oldest son was murdered in the late 90's virginia took off because of the stress and hit the streets of southeast albuquerque... to the area now known as the international district. but she always stayed in touch calling almost everyday. but then in 2004 the calls stopped. "we travelled every street looking for her we couldn't find no information nothing. and then we heard about the west mesa murders and that scared us. and we kept thinking she can't be one of them no way." "the biggest thing is minute thumbnail 10:06 pm having a child out there that you can't find it's one of the scariest hardest feelings you can ever feel in your life." after all these years of praying that virginia was not one of the west mesa victims---robert and his wife got the bad news tuesday that the west mesa is exactly where she's been all these years. "we just kepwaiting and now we know there ain't never going to be a phone call." "that's very sad. i feel very bad for all of them. they didn't deserve this.i don't care what kind of people they werethey didn't deserve that." robert cloven told me he wants the killer to come forward. and he's asking anyone with with information about the murders--to come forward as well. « Less
