A man whose voice soothed the nation following the 9-11 terrorist attacks will perform just an hour from now in a venue named for one of the victims of those attacks. Daniel Rodriguez, the New York City cop who became well known when he sang "God Bless America" soon after the attacks will be in concert at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University. Rodriguez has since recorded three CDs and is currently on tour around the US. Ann Nicole Nelson was working on the 104th floor at the World Trade Center when the planes hit the buildings. Now, the hall that bears her name will host the man who memorialized the victims with his singing and he'll be joined by some others as well... (Daniel Rodriguez - 'The Singing Policeman') "It is classical crossover. I do a lot of Americana...anything from Broadway to Opera to beautiful operetas...we do lots of things. When I add Jessie and my wife we can do many things. They do a little Elton John...there is something for everyone in the concert." Daniel Rodriguez, "the singing policeman," will appear tonight at 7:30 at Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University as part of the International Artists Series. Tickets for the series will be available at the door. « Less
