a non-profit group that helps albuquerque's native american community says it was completely cleaned out by thieves over the weekend. everything from t-v's -- computers -- even christmas decorations were stolen. antoinette antonio is live along texas near zuni... with how the center is moving forward. antoinette?s the director of the albuquerque indian center thinks this is how the thieves got in minute thumbnail 06:03 pm -- they broke the lock, drove in a truck, loaded up more than 30- thousand dollars of items, and took off. wiped out. that's how the director describes the albuquerque indian center after a break-in friday night. another large monitor over here was stolen.. you can see where some of the t-v's shoud be... even the surveillance equipment is gone. but the thieves did leave behind a small christmas tree-- after taking the center's other holiday decorations. we hadnother huge blow up doll that was a blow up frosty or blow up santa that was stolen from this area marisa ramos says at least 30- thousand dollars worth of items were stolen-- after the crooks broke in through a locked gate. the albuquerque indian center helps the native american community with everything from job placement assistance, counseling, and even a hot meal when there's no one else to turn to. it hurts my heart to know that i've been here 6 years this has never minute thumbnail 06:04 pm happened, and now that we just passed our inspection for our communy kitchen the day before a robbery took place, which was gonna provide even more opportunities to serve the public now ramos says -- it's going to be hard for the center to get through the holidays. especially when it comes to the gifts it gives to hundreds of children every year. we're gonna take a very strong hit with that and its going to be affecting our community significantly the indian center says its free thanksgiving dinner for the community is still on for next wednesday. and it would appreciate any donations -- money, food, or clothing can be dropped off here at 105 texas se. reporting live in se abq.. aa.. ewn4.// « Less
