He says he grew up with printers ink in his veins. Ray Schroth is a priest, author, professor, and journalist. His connection to North Dakota is Eric Sevareid. Schroth authored this biography in 1995 on North Dakota's most famous journalist. Tonight he'll discuss the book at the Heritage Center beginning at 7. Schroth says he felt an immediate connection to Sevareid as a college student at Fordham. He says it was lights out at 11so he kept a radio next to his ear to listen in on the CBS nightly news Ray Schroth:"He was so beautiful.The mastery of the language, and the rhythem of the voice and brilliant wit and I said I want to be like that. So I listened to him every night for the rest of my life insofar as I could." We'll hear more from Schroth tonight at six on KX news. You can meet him in person tonight at the Heritage Center.
