Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Derek Halpenny, European head of currency strategy at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd., talks with Bloomberg's Mark Barton about the Chinese economy and currency policy. China’s gross domestic product rose 8.9 percent in the third quarter from a year earlier as stimulus spending and record lending growth helped the nation lead the world out of recession.
