BioCryst Pharmaceuticals shares got a big boost today after the Food and Drug Administration gave its experimental drug peramivir authorization for emergency use in swine flu cases. The company announced late Friday that the FDA gave the go ahead for use of the IV drug in patients with confirmed or suspected cases of swine flu, who have not responded to other oral or inhaled therapies. « Less
