Oct. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Tony Butler, an analyst at Barclays Capital, talks with Bloomberg's Margaret Brennan about the outlook for pharmaceutical stocks. Merck & Co., set to buy rival Schering-Plough Corp., said third-quarter profit tripled to $3.46 billion or $1.61 on the sale of its Merial animal health unit to Sanofi-Aventis SA. Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. said net income rose 64 percent to $966 million or 48 cents a share. Both companies reported earnings today. (Source: Bloomberg)  « Less
