Two of the Toledo men convicted in June 2008 of conspiring to kill U.S. servicemen and women in Iraq and threatening to kill former President George Bush, were to have been sentenced Tuesday for their crimes in U.S. District Court in Toledo. Mohammad Zaki Amawi and Marwan Othman El-Hindi were to have been sentenced Tuesday in Judge James Carr's courtroom, but neither men have been formally sentenced for their crimes. Judge Carr said he has doubts that Amawi can be rehabilitated in federal prison and then released without being a danger to society. « Less
