tonight we talk to a classmate of erin gonzales... the manzano high student who died yesterday after moving off the hood of a moving car. kayla anderson is live at manzano high school with the story. kayla? there was no school here at manzano today- because of parent/teacher conferences. tomorrow a team of grief counselors will be on hand to help students deal with the loss. a single rose marks the spot where sophomore erin gonzales died. the manzano student was riding on top of a moving car yesterday -- in a neighborhood near tramway and lomas, when she fell off. she died from head injuries. the district attorney's office is now deciding whether to file charges against the teen driver. meanwhile, today fellow students are remembering erin gonzales. they describe her as quiet, polite and nice-- someone who was always there for her friends. they tell me she'd just taken the psat- and was full of potential. students tell me that they were posting messages on myspace and facebook yesterday -- saying things like rest in peace erin-- and also encouraging students to keep her in their prayers.  « Less
