Minot State linebacker Martel Pope has been named the DAC defensive player of the week. The senior linebacker from Miami returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown and helped the Beavers hold South Dakota Mines to just 199 yards in total offense in a 31-21 win on Saturday. Pope also recorded 4 solo tackles, 5 assists and a sack. This is the second time he's earned player of the week honors this year. Meanwhile two Minot State Volleyball players picked player of the week honors. Senior Molly Lundeen was named the Libero player of the week. Lundeen had 13 digs and perfect serve and receiver percentages in helping Minot State to a 3-0 win over Dickinson State. Freshman Abby Aide was named the Setter of the week. Aide had 30 assists and 10 digs in the Beavers win over the Bluehawks.  « Less
