FOLLOW: Many people throughout the day contributed to this report. I'm pasting it below. We will want to call APD Monday morning for an update. As of Sunday night, they had no suspect. Neighbors in this area were not happy we were at the scene. I received a few threats and requests for me to leave the neighborhood, as I went door to door trying to get sound, FYI in case someone else follows up. The man in 12313 Apt. A in particular. -------- A man was shot and killed in north Austin Saturday night and police are looking for the shooter. The Austin Police department received a report around 9:30 p.m. of shots fired in the 12300 block of Willow Wild. Police arrived on scene and located the victim, Michael L. Carmicle, 22. He had been shot. Carmicle was transported to University Medical Center-Brackenridge where he was pronounced dead. The suspect is unknown to officers, but they say he left the scene in a dark colored SUV, possibly a GMC Denali. This case remains under investigation by APD Homicide detectives.
