Mary Lynn Kumer, the daughter of the late Frances Fox, spoke publicly for the first time since her mother was savagely killed and her step-father brutally broken and left for dead. Kumer spoke of the tragic May 5 ordeal on Mulberry Street Wednesday evening to residents and neighhbors at the Lagrange Village Council meeting. Frances Fox was attacked and later died from her wounds sustained during a home invasion in her Mulberry Street home. Her husband, 74-year-old Kenneth Fox, was also beaten but had just enough strength to call 9-1-1. Kumer said her step-father is still recovering from several injuries, including a broken ankle.
