Republicans are moving on from the Attorney General's Office scandal; possible replacements are being mentioned.

evidence."several other agencies are also investigating the office. charles hopes to work with them. them."everybody is on board. there isn't going to be a bunch of separate investigations." investigations."the inspector general won't say how long the investigation might take. take."we have no agenda except to do this right and be fair and above board and get it all out." 3 still ahead tonight.marc dann does has some money in his campaign fund - the one he used to raised money for his run at the a-g's office. what happens to six. i'm emily that money now?those details at six. i'm emily riemer, abc 6 on your side. 3 now that dann has resigned ... republicans say they're looking to move on from the scandal. scandal. 3 it has been an embarrassment for this state. it's been long overdue that he resign from office, which has happened. and we can begin the process of investigating all the charges leveled against the office. 3 so who will replace dann? that's the big question at the statehouse tonight.plenty of names are being tossed around. around.some of the democrats being mentioned for the job include lieutenant governor lee fisher. he's a former attorney general.higher education chancellor eric fingerhut is another possibility along with state treasurer richard cordray ... cuyahoga county prosecutor bill mason and the governor's chief legal counsel ... kent markus. 3 for the republicans ... some of the options are former senator mike dewine and former congressman rob portman. franklin county prosecutor ron o'brien and delaware county prosecutor dave yost have also been mentioned as possible replacements.they're both up for re-election this year. 3 here's a look at what happens next at the attorney general's office.governor strickland has to appoint an interim attorney general.he hasn't said àwhen he will make his pick. pick.then the republicans and democrats will have until august 19th to pick a candidate to run for the job. job.and on mber 4th ... ohioans will head to the polls to elect a new attorney general.the winner will finish the rest of dann's term ... which runs until the beginning of 2011. 3 i want to leave office knowing that america is safer, freer, and wealthier than when i was elected. elected.senator john mccain ... looking ahead to the future here in columbus.the presidential candidate shared his vision for america four years from now ... if he's elected president.by 20-13 ... mccain predicts we will win the war in iraq and osama bin laden will be captured or killed. killed.it's a bold agenda for the republican candidate.abc-6 reporter carol luper shows us what people think of mccain's plans. 3 3 you could call it a crystal ball speech!john mccain told his audience he wants to talk about what the america people will seeàafter he's been in office for 4 years!people of all ages heard him cover issues-from keeping corporate jobs in this country to health care! care!reforms of the insurance
